Banner Check privacy policy
How Banner Check handles local creatives, explicitly shared ChatGPT summaries, service logs and website analytics.
Draft for review — not yet effective. Prepared October 6, 2026.
Scope and contact
This draft describes Banner Check by Viewst at bannercheck.org and its MCP service at mcp.bannercheck.org. It does not replace the policies of ChatGPT or other services you use. Contact hello@viewst.com with questions or requests concerning your information.
Creative files stay on your device
Files selected in Banner Check and HTML pasted into its interface are processed locally. The application does not upload creative contents, assets or filenames to the Banner Check server, and does not persist raw creatives in host state. Close the page or widget to end its in-memory session.
The ChatGPT widget performs static checks without running banner scripts. The separate website offers an optional sandboxed preview: a creative can make network requests when previewed, so preview only content you trust.
MCP requests and ChatGPT summaries
The MCP service receives public-rule queries, selected network and check identifiers, and protocol messages. Its tools do not accept creative bytes, HTML, file IDs or download URLs. It returns public rules, guidance and the local validator interface.
Only selecting Explain in ChatGPT shares a compact summary: network, verdict, check counts and up to five category/severity pairs. Raw HTML, filenames, asset URLs and detailed creative contents are excluded. The summary is marked as untrusted check data. Changing the input or network invalidates active widget context, but earlier chat messages remain under ChatGPT’s retention controls. Manage those messages and attachments in ChatGPT.
Hosting and access logs
Hosting and reverse-proxy infrastructure processes ordinary request metadata, which can include IP address, request path, headers, status and timing, to serve the service and diagnose operational issues. Coolify/reverse-proxy access logs are retained for 24 hours, as confirmed by the operator. This period does not describe analytics, support email or ChatGPT conversation retention.
Before this draft becomes effective, Viewst must confirm the infrastructure providers, log-access permissions and whether other hosting, application or backup logs have separate retention periods.
Website analytics, fonts and preferences
The bannercheck.org website loads Google Analytics to measure site usage and Google Fonts to load typefaces. These requests disclose ordinary browser/request metadata to Google; Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers. The ChatGPT validator widget does not load those website integrations. Banner contents are not deliberately included in analytics events.
The website stores a light/dark theme preference in your browser’s local storage. Clear site data to remove it. Before publication, Viewst must confirm Analytics configuration, retention, consent controls and applicable regional requirements; this draft does not claim that Google data is deleted after 24 hours.
Support and privacy requests
If you email support, we receive the address, message and any information you choose to include to handle your request. Use synthetic examples rather than confidential creatives. Email hello@viewst.com to request access, correction or deletion of information you have provided; we will consider requests under applicable law. Viewst must confirm support-email retention and the final controller details before this policy takes effect.
